■Responsibilities Were Inherited WithFilling the gaps left for us by graduating students,we moved up a notch at BHS in 1962. We were thecelebrated Seniors, mighty Juniors, and serene sophomores. In 1962 some of us commenced our careers atBHS, while, at the same time, eighth and ninth graderswere finally adjusting to the crowded halls and busy lifeinside these hallowed walls. With these advanced positions came new responsibilities. Our fellow members elected us to serve as officers in our respective clubs. As members of committeeswe sold candy, decorated gymnasiums, and plannedprograms. Coaches had the necessary faith in some ofus and placed us in positions carrying responsibilityon various BHS athletic teams. We took up attendanceslips, checked out books, and read announcements. Allthese things were a part of our life during 1962, ouryear at BHS.An impressive flag-raising ceremony is held before a home football game.Lynn Coyne and Anna Marie Endwright, student council members, dothe honors for Old Glory.Salesgirls Karen Billings and Lillian Bohall make another sale.
