Description: The SEVENTH AND EIGHTH GRADE GLEECLUBS teach those Junior High students who are interested a little more about music. It also gives themthe opportunity to sing before audiences. This trainingand experience often encourages students to continuein music when they reach high school. In the past the glee clubs have been organized asBoys and Girls Glee Clubs, but this year they were divided according to grade levels. The clubs were directed by Mr. John Robinson and met separately on alternate weeks. In this way they met more often thanother clubs, but in comparison with classes they wererather restricted as to rehearsing time. This did notprevent their usual activities, however. In connection with the Eighth Grade Chorale, theGlee Clubs presented their annual Christmas pageant. They gave two performances, one for an afternoonjunior high convocation and one in the evening fortheir parents. In the spring two concerts were given. The clubs had no officers this year.First row, left to right: Laconda Hays, Eileen Herrick, Shirley Cole, LindaHollers, Brenda Hawkins, Lana Fiscus, Donna Cole, Avis Hardin, LindaHarding.Second row.
