Description: Gathered together in the staff room are the members of the 19 5 8 GOTHIC.Business Manager, Bobbie Borno and Editor, Sandra Hudson discuss pageplans with Mrs. Hobbs. The work on the 1958 GOTHIC was begun duringthe summer. The editor-in-chief and business manager,Sandra Hudson and Bobbie Borno, were chosen in thespring of 1957. Other staff members were appointedto their positions during the summer. Also during thesummer a theme was chosen, the dummy was made, and many ideas were worked in to plans for the comingof the school year. After school began, the real work was started. Inaddition to the many pictures which were taken, therewere many layouts to be made, much information hadto be compiled, and much copy had to be written. Members of the staff were kept busy by the selling of advertisements to local business firms and by the subscription campaign which was launched during the firstsemester and completed during the second. Many hourswere spent outside of school in order to have the bookcompleted on time.Staff members who did outstanding work and showedinterest in their work were rewarded by being electedinto Quill and Scroll, an honorary society for outstanding high school journalists. The best reward for thewhole staff, however, was seeing the completed yearbook; then we knew that all of the hard work whichwe had done had been for a very good purpose.38This page sponsored by CAMPUS CAB —Two Way P^adio — For Quick Service — Dial 7233
