Description: The aims of the B-Mens Club are to develop interest in athletics among students, to promote good feeling among the athletes of various sports, and to create acceptable mental, physical, and moral attitudes toward opponents, fellowmen, andthe school. Membership is open to any boy who has won amajor letter in one or more sports. The B-Men participatedin many activities during the year. On several occasions theyformed an entrance way for the basketball team as they cameon to the floor. Another well-known activity is the B-Meninitiation. The new members were required to shine the shoesof the fifteen members. The B-Men also perform the dutyof shining the trophies in the hall showcase. Several awards foraccomplishments in athletics are given by the club. Among theseawards are the gold emblems given to each senior boy forevery sport in which he has won a major award. Also, a goldtrophy is awarded to the outstanding player in each sport.The B-Mens Club has its counterpart in a parents group. Thisgroup sponsors and directs the sports banquets throughout theyear. At the end of the year, they promote the annual All-Sports Banquet, honoring the award winners in various sports.Don Wampler was the president of B-Mens Club this year.Jim McMillan served as vice-president with David Williamstaking on the job of secretary-treasurer.
