Returning lettermen were:Joe Lake, senior, played infield and also sharedin the pitching duties this year. B.H.S. has beenknown down through the years to have had goodhitting pitchers, and Joe was no exception ...David Davis, senior catcher, was the fine andcapable backstop for the team this year. A ratherlarge catcher, David did a fine job of defendingthe home plate for the Panthers . . . David EuDaly, senior pitcher, was called upon to handlesome of the pitching chores this season. Davidwas a fairly good hitter for a pitcher and whennot pitching, he sometimes played an infieldposition . . . Mike Kerr, senior centerfielder, although not a long ball hitter, consistently camethrough for the Panthers with scratch singles anddoubles. To play this outfield position requiresan ability to move fast in order to cover all ofthe ground included in the vast centerfield. Mikedid a very capable job this year and last . . .Morris Deckard has probably played at moredifferent positions than any single member onthe team. Last year he played leftfield and dida fine job of backing up the third base slot. Also, when called upon, he very ably played thecatcher and first base positions. This Page Sponsored by HANSON MOTOR COMPANY1327 N. Walnut —Phone 2-332173
