Description: Aviation ClubOff we go into the wild blue yonder. Thismight have been heard coming from any of themembers of the Aviation Club. It is the onlyone of its kind in Indiana. This club is offeredto any senior high student who is interested inthe field of aviation.The club started the year by taking theirannual trip to Kisters Field. Thirty-two members enjoyed fifteen minute airplane rides overthe city. The club members are hoping that nextyear they can charter a plane and have a muchlonger airplane trip. Another activity was theirannual project at the Winter Carnival which isselling cokes.Programs during the year featured a representative from the Indiana University Air ForceR.O.T.C., the commander of the Civil Air Patroland others. Officers of the club were DonnaSkinner, president; Jim Szatkowski, vice-president; June Crandall, secretary-treasurer. Mr.H. D. It is the group of seniordivision boys who operate and maintain all ofthe Public Address equipment and make installations, both portable and permanent.These boys work at all of the ball games, pepsessions, convocations, and all of the other schoolsocial functions, including after game dances.One member of the Public Address is alwaysseated at the control board so that students andfaculty members will know where to locate himwhen necessary.Mr. William T. Voorhies, instructor in speechand dramatics, is the sponsor of this organization. He chooses boys for the Public AddressStaff of the basis of their industriousness, dependability, and interest. Robin Roberts, a seniorwho has been a member of the Public AddressStaff for four years, was the student leader of theorganization this year.PUBLIC ADDRESS STAFFSeated—Jim Ennis, Nathan Hall.
