Description: All the world is astageThe members of Proscenium Players strived to present the best in dramatic entertainment to their public. With this thought in mind, the club presented a threeact play, Brother Goose, a Christmas play for convocation, a one act play for Drama Night, and severalother one act plays for various club meetings and socialfunctions. Each member of the club looks forward to the presentation of the gold engraved loving cups which are givento the two outstanding senior dramatists at the end ofthe year. Another tradition of the club is one concerning two old make-up sweatshirts. Each year the presentowners pass the shirt down to the junior boy and girlthey consider the most outstanding. The proud ownersthis past year were Kenny Simpson and Paddy Engle. For the first time in the history of the club, meetingswere scheduled only once a month. For this reasonspecial emphasis was placed upon the importance ofhaving interesting and profitable meetings. Some of themore outstanding meetings were: a masquerade party;at the end of which Delia Austin, past president ofProscenium Players, told of her dramatic activities following high school; a talent show presented by members of the club; and a demonstration by members ofpast dramatics classes portraying the different aspectsof the theater. The officers this year were Bill Hawk, president; JonShive, vice-president; Pat Dunlap, secretary; Bill Bissey, treasurer; and Charles Jean and Dave Medaris, sergeants-at-arms. Mr. William Voorhies, Mrs. Barbara Smith, andMrs. Marilyn Kirk were co-sponsors of the club.Proscenium Players.
