To become a member,a boy must earn a major award in one of the many sports offered at B. H. S. Boysmay earn letters in eight different sports during the year. In the fall letters may beearned in football and cross country, in the winter wrestling and basketball, and inthe spring track, baseball, tennis, and golf. At the end of the season of eachsport, a trophy is awarded to the boy voted most valuable by his team mates.This trophy is presented at a potluck banquet held for the boys and their parents.Initiating new members into the club, sponsoring a pep session, and sponsoring abooth at the Winter Carnival were the main social functions of the club. Duringthe spring, the club held a mass initiation. A stiff initiation consisting of shiningshoes, a wheel barrow race around the athletic field, and pushing an egg acrossthe athletic field with their nose was provided by the old members. The membershippins were awarded at a regular meeting.Officers for this year were Jerry Kerr, president; Dean Rainbolt, vice presiden+;Dick Hackler, secretary-treasurer.
