They accomplishedthis by debates, panel discussions, andspeakers. Each semester they try totake a plane trip which gives the studentsa chance to become better acquaintedwith airplane travel. The sponsors of thisclub were Mr. Joseph T. Avery and Mr.H. D. McAdams. Officers were president,Ronald Gotwals; vice president. PhyllisFranklin; and secretary-treasurer, ArnoldLarson.N. S. H. S.Selling pickles and cokes at basketballgames and dances were projects of theNational Scientific Honor Society. Themoney earned was used to take a trip tothe Chicago Planetarium. Different phases of atomic energy were discussed as apart of the clubs program at their meetings.Club officers were Carol Hudson, president; Sue Groh, vice president; CatherineHorstman, secretary; and David Cabbell,treasurer.
