Miss FleenerMISS IDA E. FLEENERMiss Fleener, after nearly forty years of loyal service, isretiring from her position as secretary to the Board of SchoolTrustees and to the Superintendent of Schools. Miss Fleener hasalways been reliable and loyal and had won the respect of allpeople with whom she worked. Her responsibility was to meetwith the Board of School Trustees and to keep the records of themeetings.Because of her efficiency, Miss Fleener has remainedthrough the terms of six different school superintendents. Theschool will miss her dependable service, but we wish her happiness in the future.Board of School TrusteesThe Board of School Trustees is responsible for forming the policiesof the schools and planning for the instruction of the students. Theyare the unseen government behind our school system.The board is composed of three prominent citizens interested in thecity schools and the students. David G. Wylie, well known in the limestone industry, has served for seven years; Edgar A. OHarrow, proprietor of a local pharmacy, has been a member for four years; and FrankSouthern, well known local banker, has served for six years.
