This year makes the fourthconsecutive State Championship that the Panther Wrestlers have captured, andthe man to credit for the last two is Coach Two Bits Myers. Under his skillfulguidance the wrestlers started the season by conditioning themselves for greatendurance. Have you ever seen a wrestling squad practice? Perhaps not, but awrestler can tell you that it takes plenty of persistent training. After weeks of running laps, rope skipping and callisthenics, the wrestlersbegan to acquire endurance. The coach each day demonstrated new holds, breaksand skillful tricks of the sport. The boys, liking the sport better as they wentalong, began applying their techniques and were soon grabbing first places intheir scheduled meets. The season was high lighted this year by scheduling Danville, Illinois andKentucky School for the Blind.Next came the state meet where only the finest team came out on top. Ittook great training and leadership to make this goal. Our wrestling team wasready, because they were well developed and organized.WRESTLING TEAMS RECORDDecember We They10 Crawfordsville 37 915 Southport 44 817 Ky.
