Murray could also be counted onto hold his opponent to very few points ....HERB FERREE, senior forward, was a good re-bounder and was noted for his fine floor play.Herb improved greatly as the season progressedand turned out to be a valuable player during thelast few games and the sectional .... DONLYON, senior guard, was also a defensive specialist. At the first of the season, Don was the maincog of the defense as he consistantly held hisman to few points and was a demon at ballstealing .... JACK MASTERS, junior guard,was a valuable pinch hitter for the Purples. Inmany games, Jack was sent in to collect somepoints on his arching two handed long shots. Heshould be a star next year . . . .KENNETHKERBS, junior center, played well when calledupon, especially in the defensive department.Most of Kens points came on his accurate pivotshots and long set shots. He will be a valuableman for next season .... BOB AYERS, seniorguard, was the defensive specialist of the team.Whenever an opponent needed to be held down,Ayers was the boy who was put on him.
