Changes noted in this department were the addition oftwo new courses, Bible Study and Contemporary Literature Whether it is commercial arithmetic or trigonometry, the members of this department believe that mathematics is the science of precision and exactness. Changes in this department included Mr.Millikans substituting for Mrs. Cogswell during the first semester and the retirement ofMiss King after 25 years of service in B.H.S For those would-be Curies and Ein-steins or those of us who are just interested in knowing why, our science teachers pointout the laws and principles of that field which govern the universe Proficiency fortomorrow means preparation today. Our industrial arts instructors believe that carefultraining in vocational subjects leads to a successful future. Students taking industrialarts have the advantage of using the vast amount of surplus war equipment donated toour school.PAGE 26
