Description:	The girl athletes of Bloomington High School are organized toform the Girls Athletic Association under the leadership of MissSiebenthal. The members are all quite active in various sports, andthe club itself is becoming more popular each year. The purpose ofthe club is to increase interest in girls sports, to give the girls achance to continue their activities after they are no longer takingphysical education as a part of their regular schedule, and to earnletters and class numerals as awards for participation.The after school sports in which the members participate aresoccer, tennis, volley ball, basketball, baseball, dancing, and decktennis. Quite often on Saturdays the girls go on extended breakfastor luncheon hikes. No matter what time they go, what they do, orwhen they get back, the members always seem to spend very enjoyable hours together.As a means of entertainment, a kid party was given in the gymnasium, with short dresses, anklets, low-heeled oxfords, large hairbows, and dolls predominating. This spring the class of moderndancers from the university gave a demonstration for the G.A.A.members.
