This club is apart of the national movement of the Y.W.C.A. for high school girls.The slogan is to face life squarely, and the purpose, to find andgive the best.New members are initiated once each semester in a ceremonial calledthe Candle Lighting Service.At Thanksgiving time the Junior Girl Reserves made donationswhich were added to the general school cheer fund for the benefit ofneedy people of Bloomington.Other activities of the organization are conducted in the interestgroups in which the membership is divided. Nature study, dramatics,and scrapbook-making are the chief interests.The officers for the first semester of this year were: Wilma French,president; Agnes Dulin, vice-president; Wilma Williams, secretary;Nancy Snyder, treasurer.The present officers are: Betty Gale, president; Mildred Carmichael,vice-president; Lois Isenogle, secretary; Wetona Whaley, treasurer.Page Ninety-three |
