Description: 19 GOTHIC 16The Athletic AssociationThe past year has been the most successful in the history of theB. H. S. Athletic Association. Over two hundred students signedtheir names and paid their dues as members last fall, and a largeper cent, of these have taken part in athletics some time during theyear.The members of the Association elect four students and threemembers of the faculty as an Athletic Board of Control. Theseseven representatives manage athletics in general. A faculty mem-ber of the Board is appointed as treasurer and manager for eachbranch of athletics.The Board faced a considerable deficit at the beginning of thevear, but this has been cleared and some money has been saved tostart the ball rolling next fall.The top picture is one of Wellsie.taken when he was in the eighth grade.He had just eaten a dinner of Nabiscos,wienies, and dill pickles, hence the ex-pression. He has been known to look likethis once since--just after the Lebanongame.The lower picture should be entitledStars in the Making. The youth swing-ing the bat is Home-run Wells.
