The Class of 1914Colors: Pink and Lavender.Alice Bright, PresidentGlenn Brown, Class-TreasurerFaris Stimson, SecretaryMary Woodburn, Editor-in-Chief GothicHenry Miller, Business Manager GothicClay Gross, Assistant Business Manager GothicIrene Yelch, Vice-PresidentThis is a mixed class of Seniors and Juniors-seniorswho are not the Seniors, and Juniors who are above thecommon herd of Juniors. Their officers come from bothclasses. The Class of 1914 has a good personnel. If theirprevious records can show anything, the officers of the classare thoroughly efficient. They seem well on the line topublish a good Gothic. The Juniors nave planned a reception to the Seniorsand Faculty for May 28. This is an annual affair. TheJuniors have fretted and worked on this reception somuch that a wonderful specimen of Junior Reception isprophesied. The Juniors are both high-markers and low markers. Some of them are ruffnecks who make the basketballand base ball teams, and some are high-brows who singthe Glee Club. They have no fiery, brilliant notables, butthey are all proud of being the rank and file. They havethe sprit that will make them worthy successors to theClass of ’13.These people have a special affinity for the Freshmen. They like to hunt them out and take care of them.Wherever you see a husky Freshman on the campus, thereare bound to be from three to half a dozen «juniors» abouthim, “taking care” of him. They like to inquire about theFreshmans health, and rub their hands over his head, andthey even jnstruct him how to smile. All in all though, our Freshmen are the gainers; they could have no betterGuardians.Page Thirty |
