Description: The Class of 1913Colors: Lavender and Old Gold.Flower: Sweet Pea.OFFICERSPresident, Samuel SeaneyVice-President, Cleon AdamsonTreasurer, Russell BlakelySecretary, Austin SewardTo say too much about our own class is to lay ourselvesopen to remark and also more so. In some ways, the classof Thirteen is truly remarkable; and in many other ways itis common-place. In the first place the Seniors are onlya half-year class, the present 12As; yet they are a full fiftyin number, as large as many a full year class, and biggerthan some. The class of Thirteen has made many fine records in allforms of school work and school activities. Its percentageof failures is probably as low as that of any class that everentered school here. It is a very big class, and a veryefficient one. No one can be trusted to do things morespeedily and effectively than the Seniors. Ability to appreci-ate good advice is one of their predominant characteristics.Much of their success is due to their immense respect andfaith in the class of 12. The support which they gave lastyears Gothic was the basis for their own big successes. Some of the things that the Seniors have engineered, orlargely helped to, have been The Dramatics Club, TheGothic News, The Carnival, The May Fete, The Gothic, allof this year; as well as many such in the years past. Thepresent cast of She Stoops To Conquer is almost three-fourths Seniors. But there-thats about enough. Theyare proud of what they have done, proud of themselves andtheir section-teacher-and their greatest hope is that thenext bunch can improve on their efforts; can make big-things out of little, and bigger out of big.Page Fourteen
