*^w*Activities Forced IndoorsBy Wintertime WeatherTHE SEASONAL drop in temperature during the winter months necessitated changes in the clubs offered to BHS students. With the noticeable exception of ice skating, fifth period on Friday found moststudents involved in indoor activities. Student enthusiasm remainedhigh for bowling, basketball and instruction in ballroom dancing by Mr.Hartle. Future Physicians and FutureLawyers were added to the activitieslist in an effort to better acquaint thestudents with possible postcollegiateprofessions. For those students inclined toward music such activitiesas quiet record listening and variouschoral groups were available. Perhaps the most unlikely of all indooractivities was the frisbee club.In this, the second year of the nineweek term activities format, a newcoordinator was named. Mr. Mannreplaced Mr. Frye and assumed thedifficult task of organizing the program.38 |
