One night while thewoman is in bed, an angel appears in her bedroom and tellsher that she is the one who must help in this crisis. On herjourney as a savior, she meets up with a messenger, anapostle who feels that he was left out of the Bible becausehe’s black, a demon, a Muse and two unusual Prophetsnamed Jay and Silent Bob.After reading this description, it may soundpretty interesting to you. It certainly did to me. You may likeit after all, but know that it would have made a much betterbook than movie. I think that the director shouldn’t havetried to use so much humor. It would be funny in the book,but some things were just too corny and stupid for thereview movie. For example, the Prophets, Jay and Silent Bob,were constantly trying to have sex with the main womanthat they were sent to help. It was funny at first, but it gotold after the first million times that they would blatantly askher for sex. The writer and director were trying to showirony in everything throughout the movie. For example, takethe character who played God-Alanis Morrisette. I personally thought that this was cool. The movie wasn’t all bad,and I did laugh, I just think that it could have been better.Dogma Review46
