They have all worked very hard to learn about Aurora and the wayour school works. We really appreciate their hard work and help over thispast year. They will all be missed. What have you learned about being a teacher from your experiencesat Aurora?A. I spent more time with the teenagers than I have in a long time.Aurora has really given me the opportunity to spend more one-on-onetime with adolescents and has helped me grow to know and appreciate them. The staff here is very supportive, and I have learned a greatdeal from their knowledge and guidance.Q. Do you think by coming to Aurora and student teaching that you havechanged in some waysA. Sure, with every experience one has, a person grows and learns. Especially if one reflects upon and examines one’s experiences.MeganQ. Has being here at Aurora changed your views regarding teaching?A. No, because I have known Chuck since I was in the eighth grade. Iknew what the atmosphere would be like at Aurora.Q. What do you like best about Aurora?A. I like that the school lets students help make big decisions, and I likethe community atmosphere of the school.Q. What made you decide to go to IU.?A. It was all I could afford.Q. What are your hobbies, and what do you do in your spare time?A. Martial arts, kickboxing, and yoga. I like writing poetry, and I alsowork a lot.Q. Have you liked getting to know Aurora students on a one-on-onebasis, and why do you feel this way.A. I have really enjoyed one-on-one interactions with students becauseI get to know them, which I think is important.
