Aurora Alternative High School, The Phoenix, 1996, Page 24

Description: Aurora Alternative School Personalizes Learning for Individual StudentsThis is the premier yearbook from the first year of the Aurora Alternative High School. Each studentand staff member has an entire page to call their own. These pages reflect the unique personalities of eachindividual. The students worked very hard on their pages and filled them with images, drawings, pictures, symbols and quotes. “I thought it was a unique and fun way of showing people what goes on at our school,”said Kim Lane. Each student brings a different outlook on life to the school. We are all distinct and our perspectivesare equally diverse. This helps everyone become open minded about accepting new ideas. “When I cometo school it usually puts me in a better mood. There are so many different people here. I don’t have to worryabout what people think about what I’m wearing. We are all different, but it’s for the better and cliques don’texist,” said Shelly Bundy. We hope you enjoy these pages which contain the students’ journeys during this stretch on the roadof life.
