Description: Giacomo, Alicia, and fellow students play on the play-ground at 9th Street Parkduring a school picnic.Natosha Stillions, HeatherAtwood, Annie Mosora, andApril Perkins enjoy the sunshineand freedom from class.Although we spent celebrated Thanksgivinghere at school, it had the feel of a more traditionalfield trip with shortened classes and lots of anticipation. It was a huge extravaganza with ham, turkey, sweet potatoes, and all the trimmings. In addition, there were many wonderful desserts. It was fun, filling, and plenty of food was consumed by all.Our next trip was the last day before ChristmasBreak. We visited Suburban Lanes and enjoyed bowling, billiards, and other video games. The competition was friendly between staff and students, withsome ambitious people bowling on two lanes or more.It was a great chance to relax and get to know eachother better.Spring is a time when we cut some Fridaysshort and play in the park across the street. We alsoplan on going to the Indianapolis Zoo in late May.Field trips are a break from academics and allowopportunities for socializing that don’t usually occurwithin the school day and are appreciated by all!-Zak Kell and Contributors
