"Ma" Springer marching with 150th Field Artillery in parade

Description: On verso: "Ma Springer." [clipping from Indianapolis News] "Anderson, Ind. May 9. Mrs. George Springer, of Anderson, who was a Salvation Army worker the 150th field artillery, Rainbow division, in France, has gone to New York after a brief visit here to assist the Salvation Army in making arrangements for its drive to obtain a fund of $13,000,000....Mrs. Springer attended the Welcome Home demonstration for Indiana soldiers at Indianapolis Wednesday and marched in the parade with the 150th field artillery. She is known by the artillerymen as 'Ma' Springer. She was in the drive through Cantigny and also in the Argonne forest, where her detail of Salvation Army workers were separated from one another for five weeks...."
