Child's white cotton and linen petticoat

Description: Child's white, cotton, and linen petticoat; bodice is linen, shaped slightly at underarm with straight front and back neckline; shoulder straps are 1/2" wide woven linen tape; bodice opens in back overlaps and ties at top and waist with 1/4" wide woven linen tape; skirt is fine woven strip cotton gathered onto bodice; center front is ungathered; skirt is finished with 1" hem; growth tucks of 1" and 1 1/2" are stitched into skirt upper tuck is 2 in one: 6/16" and 1 1/16", hand stitching is extremely fine throughout, skirt has 2 seams at side back: one is flat-felled, the other utilizes selvedges; slash opening at center back of skirt is finished with 1/16" rolled hem; end of slash is finished with fine buttonhole stitching and a buttonhole stitched tacked to prevent tearing
