Dress of cream cotton print with all over background of maroon dots in geometric shapes; stylized flowers in maroon, pink and blue; bodice has wide neckline, front is gathered into a neck and a waist band, piped at all seams, closed in back with hooks and eyes; sleeves are full, cartridge gathered upper sleeve tapering to a tight lower arm; skirt is cartridge pleated all round to a waist band, hem faced with 7" band of cream cotton print of floral print and zig-zag in red; both bodice and waistband lined with linen - Given to Beth Mathers by Tasha Tudor as a gift. |
