black, wool vest, front is black wool w/ pronounced diagonal weave; shawl collar w/ notched lapels, 2 pockets on each side, hand-worked keyhole buttonholes, 5 fabric-covered buttons; vest is backed w/ black diagonal weave fabric (cotton?) w/ a sheen; adjusts w/ metal buckle, vest is lined w/ off-white cotton w/ blue and tan stripes; welt pocket in righthand side of lining; lining has all over staining and fading, backing has scattered wear spots, mostly machine-sewn |
