Man conducting the Reuben Wells locomotive

Description: Typewritten on paper attached to photo: Back home again in Indiana, the Reuben Wells delights crowds at the Childrens Museum in Indianapolis after years of wandering the Pennsylvania lines in ceremonial and display work. The 0-10-0T locomotive, donated to the museum in 1968 at the age of 100, was the first to climb Americas steepest railroad hill without cog assistance. During its 37-year career, the Wells racked up more than 100,000 miles but was never more than two miles from home.
