Key Club Chapter Events, 1954

Description: Keynoter: Amite, Louisiana, High School Key Clubbers, in cooperation with the International Paper Company, have started a forest conservation program. A two acre plot has been leased by the club for 99 years during which time pine seedlings will be planted and the land fenced and mantained by the Key Clubbers. The first profits from the project will be reaped in about 12 years and have been deeded to the present Amite first graders who will be seniors at that time. Key Clubbers shown digging post holes are International Trustee Vince Currier (kneeling) and Louisiana-Mississippi-West Tennessee District Governor Claud Hank Brumfield.
