Kiwanis Magazine: Despite summer temperatures many southern California youngsters are able to enjoy the rare pleasures of winter sports, thanks to the Kiwanis Club of Placentia, California, which each year sponsors a Snow Party during New Years week. Using snow imported from a nearby ice factory, the Kiwanians quickly transform a local park into a winter wonderland where kids can do what comes naturally. |
