Description: |
Dateline: This year Junior Achievement instituted a new award to pay tribute to those men and women who laid the groundwork of JA in its early years. The first recipient of this Pioneer Award is Walter M. Ringer, Sr., who, as president of the Foley Manufacturing Company, was one of the pioneers who established JA in Minneapolis in 1949, subsequently serving both the local and national organizations in many key positions. In the photo, Mr. Ringer (right) is greeted by JA National Chairman Richard L. Terrell, vice chairman, General Motors Corp. |
