Harrison Red Cross Volunteers attend their first orientation session at the Post U. S. Army Hospital. The orientation, conducted by Mrs. Fred Abernathy, chairman of volunteer personnel, Indianapolis Red Cross Chapter, is one of three training periods provided the volunteers before assignment to duty at the hospital. All of the 34 members of the class have pledged either a half or a full day a week of their time to the service of the Red Cross volunteer at the hospital.
