Description: Carl G. Fisher drives the Stoddard Dayton as Indianapolis Star staff member W.S. Gilmore sits alongside during the first trip around the newly built Indianapolis Motor Speedwy. The Stoddard Dayton, a two-seater racecar, would go on to win the first race held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway with an avarge speed of 57.3 miles per hour.
