[c. 1962] This house was constructed and occupied by Adelbert S. Benson between 1894 and 1898. The Bensens lived here until 1940 when the house was owner-occupied by Robert Wanee. Wanee sold the property in 1958. The house was divided into ten apartments in 1970.This is a 2 1/2-story, frame Queen Anne Style house with a pyramidal hip roof with gabled projections on each facade. There is clapboarding and imbricated shingling in the pediments and a t the top of the second story. The principal features of this house are the cutaway corner windows with trim, a full-width front porch with pediment, and scroll work in the curved bargeboard of the attic gable.
