[c.1935] Shadrach Wilber House (Taylor-May House, aka Maywood) built c.1831-1832 by Shadrach Wilber, initially known as “Wilber’s Point,” extensively altered at least twice, once around 1900 and again in 1925 by Drusilla Cravens, burned 2000, Interior view looking west across the center hall. The 1830s woodwork and mantels in the first floor parlors survived the two major remodelings. Wallpaper detail: possibly one of the “authentic Colonial reproductions”--that were actually reproductions 1840s-1850s wallpaper--produced by Thomas Strahan or M. H.
