The rock- faced regular coursed ashlar stone walls have windows with geometrical bar tracery. The large window in the north gable has both geometrical and panel tracery. The triple entry has crocketed finials on the parapet above the doors. Designed by the firm Cropsey & Lamm, this church was for many years the largest and most prestigious Presbyterian Church in the city.The congregation was established in 1834 and had been located at three other sites before this one. During the early years of this century, many notable residents, including former Attorney General, William Henry Harrison Miller and Governors Conrad Baker and Governor James A. Mount attended services here. It now houses the United Presbyterian Metropolitan Center.Old Northside Historic Area Preservation Plan, 1979 church
