William H. Burton, of Burton Loan and Jewelry, became the first owner-occupant. Members of the Burton family lived here until 1945. Effie, widow of William, converted the house into four apartments by 1922.This is a 2-story frame house with Queen Anne influence. Features include clapboard siding, a multi-gabled rood, and a projecting front gable with cutaway corners below. The windows are grouped in threes with transoms on the front facade.
