Robert Gray (died 1899) was an engineer at first with the Bates City Mills and later at the Womens Reformatory. Mrs. Gray lived in the house until after her husbands death. The house remained in the Gray family until 1911 when it was sold and became rental property.Asphalt shingle siding obscures the original siding and all other decorative details have been removed so that it is difficult to know what was the original style of the cottage.Fletcher Place Historic Area Preservation Plan, 1980 single-family dwelling |
