It was likely built for speculative purposes. The house does retain some of its detailing, particularly the unusual window cornice. Remnants of the original porch also exist. Research indicates a string of short-term tenants in the early 1900s, which tends to strengthen the assumption that the house was built as a rental. single-family dwelling |
