Brown and white checked cotton slat bonnet

Description: Slat bonnet of brown and white small check cotton with long curtain and attached ruffle, all hand stitched; nineteen cardboard slats (1 x 7 7/8) are inserted in 8 wide brim w/ 5/16 wide folded ruffle around front ends; crown gathered on brim to form a 5/16 wide ruffle where attached; curtain extends 16 down from brim with width at lower edge 15; a separate piece (23 wide x 19 long) gathered into crown at back gives a full tapered curtain ruffle 11/16 wide with 1/16 hem edges the curtain with 1/2 facing covering raw edges of ruffle and curtain; side seams of curtain are top stitched on right side and seams are over cast on inside Condition: 2 small holes in crown; 3 small holes in curtain and small holes in ruffle of curtain; crown pulled loose from brim on lower sides; inside of brim is soiled.
