Description: |
This contribution from Frank N. and Patricia L. Owings is given in memory of The Portfolio Club of Indianapolis IN member, Mark Holeman (1920-2020) This is not rare plant in Maine, although I had only seen it one other time before this spring. We had a gorgeous spring this year [2020] and with the isolation that came with the pandemic I found myself exploring new land trusts in the area. So I stumbled onto a bog in Harpswell and there were the calla lilies just pushing up through the water. I went back time and again to watch them grow and to draw. I used a gray ink on Japanese paper to imitate my graphite drawings--Vamp & Tramp, Booksellers website. |
