Plaster statue of Benjamin Harrison. Caricature of Benjamin Harrison made by Frank Allen Jr. circa 1895 - 1900. White plaster with a light grey colored coating. On back of base For a couple / of Darn Good Ska_____ / with compliments of the Perpetrator . On base top next to Harrisons right foot Copyright. Statue shows Harrison standing with his right hand in his pocket and his left arm bent at the elbow. No neck and very short legs. Double breasted coat buttoned.Made by Frank Allen Jr. who lived at 13th & Delaware in the Bates/ Allen / Parry / McGowan / K of C house. He gave it to Mrs. J. K. Sharpe who lived across the street (1314 N. Del.). Donors grandmother. See provenance file for more |
