Original Broadside: Al-Mutanabbi Street Broadsides Arthur and Mata Jaffe Center for Book Arts at the FAU Libraries Letterpress. Edition of 17.This broadside is from the collection of a historic suite of hand-printed literary broadsides which are a part of the Al-Mutannabi Street Starts Here broadside project at the Arthur and Mata Jaffe Center for Book Arts at the FAU Libraries. Mother Loves Me is a look at how our leaders and ones in power feed their audience images and information that is not always true, and how they pull the wool over the eyes of the ignorant to show them content to provoke a sometimes violent response. In a post Waco/Columbine atmosphere, the great American tradition of killing each other lives on. Americas global doctoring of spreading democracy has brought oppression and fear back to the world. Mother as our provider feeds us what we need to survive; if children are brought up in there early developmental stage of life with hate, then its really difficult to change how they feel about a race, culture, religion or sex. War is not what people should fear but what causes them. I feel citizens of all nations should investigate deeper, read more and not look at what’s immediately perceived. |
