Two Potawatomi chiefs, Metea (Meteaw) and Toisa (Twazie), agree to pay back Robb $200 per year for 4 years directly from the annual annuity from the United States. Reverse: 11 November 1823, Robb assigned the first payment to Alexander Ewing. On 22 November 1824, Robb assigned the second payment to Alexander Ewing. The following individuals also signed the document: Noquashet; Mankesee; Pamahpahto; Showpatee; John Tipton, William G. Ewing, Joseph Barron, James Wymon, and George Cicott. (Toisa is also sometimes rendered Twazie, Towaisi, and Toysa.) |
