Description: |
In 1926 Miss Bonnie Rodgers (first on the left) won the first Miss Bass Lake Beauty Contest. While the suits may seem very old-fashioned, they are actually very risque for the year of the contest. Women still had to wear stockings to cover at least part of their legs at this contest. Her bathing suit is on display at the Starke County Historical Society Museum. |
