The home of Amanda West Whicker (1843-1901) and Allen Whicker (1837-1919). The home was built c 1890 and still stands today in Clay Township at 5243 S County Road 400 W. Allen Whicker is standing in the front yard. The decorative fretwork has since been removed, and the porches have been replaced with a full wrap-around porch. The photograph is on the front of an unused postcard. |
