A 1920 Boatride in the Miss Detroit II on Lake Wawasee.

Description: This is a photograph from the 1920s of the Miss Detroit II on Lake Wawasee.
This is the note that was attached to the back of the photograph: Lake Wawasee Circa 1920 I believe we are seeing the start of a 1920 boatride. Marjorie T. Meyer recently came across this photo showing Ralph Teetor at the stern and Lothair Teetor on the bow. At this point the driver is not known. I am sure the boat is Miss Detroit II built by Chris Smith in Algonac, MI. This boat, driven by Gar Wood, won the 1917 Gold Cup race. It also ran in the 1918 cup race which was won by Miss Detroit III with a much larger engine. Jack Teetor
