This is an image of Matty Jones, awarded honorary membership into the Syracuse Fire Department in July 1965. Matty Jones was Turkey Creek township trustee in 1947 when Liberty Coach Company burned to the ground, prompting a reorganization of the fre department and the purchase of modern fire-fighting equipment. Matty Jones was instrumental in the changes. |
