This is an image of a boat in the Northern Indiana Boating Associations Pirates Cruise, held on Sunday, July 16th, 1961 at Conns Landing on Lake Wawasee. The boats and actice member participants were in typical pirate costume for the event. 19 boats and about 85 people participated in the event, which was supervised by Gene Kiser and his assistant Louis Endicott. At the time, the Northern Indiana Boating Association club was 5 years old with a membership of 116 families. |
