American Coating Mills factory

Description: American Coating Mills (later known as Continental Can Company and then Federal Paper Board Company). Building No. 6, view from loading dock door toward door to Building No. 10. Flattened boxes are stacked throughout. October 18, 1944. In a City Directory of the 1930s, the business is described as being a manufacturer of coated cardboard, boxboard and papers for lithographers, printers and boxboard makers. Office and plant were located at end of Division Street. In the 1940s, per a City Directory, office and plant were located at end of Division Street, with an additional folding cartons plant located at 210 Foundry Street in Elkhart.
